And it really lived up to expectations, the short story will keep you entertained while you go through the puzzles that aren't that difficult. ☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugsĪ good walking simulator that if you have played Edith Finch, will add a bit more to the story and you'll feel more motivated to play it, if you haven't, play this one first as you'll feel a lot better when you see the character's story in that game.įor some reason walking simulators give me headaches, however I really wanted to play this one because of all the praise and because it's a "prequel/sequel?" to Edith Finch.

☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks If you bear in mind the shortness of the game and it's at a price you can afford, give it a try. I've paid more than £20 for a meal that I eat in an hour, a lot of which is waiting for the courses to arrive! Putting it that way, it doesn't seem so bad.

That's not the value for money of a game like Witcher 3, but if I play again to get all achievements, it could work out about £1 an hour. It's simple, yes, but I guess the whole thing is meant to be like a story invented by a child, but with adult interpretations possible, certainly at the end. There was something compelling enough about it to make me want to finish it, though. Other games I enjoy when I want a relaxing break from all the rush and gore. I like my Witcher, Tomb Raider and Dishonored type of games most. This could just be the type of gamer I am. I may replay it to get the 4 achievements I missed, but I'd not play it much, if at all, after that. I can see that they were done for a reason.

I'd say I spent about 4 hours actually playing new material. Once or twice i played and closed just before reaching a checkpoint, so had to backtrack next time I loaded. I'm down at 5 hours to complete the game but a lot of that was on pause.
